Donna M. Genovese, Esq. is a partner of GOLDSCHMIDT & GENOVESE, LLP. Ms. Genovese has dedicated her practice to the field of matrimonial and family law for over thirty-five years. Ms. Genovese’s experience includes all aspects of matrimonial matters, including negotiation, litigation and drafting of prenuptial, separation, and settlement agreements. Ms. Genovese is also trained in the Collaborative Law process, mediation and arbitration. Ms. Genovese regularly handles complex matrimonial matters which include issues involving child custody, support and valuations. Ms. Genovese practices primarily in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties as well as Orange, Dutchess, Bronx and New York.
Ms. Genovese is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers; member of the Board of Governors of the New York Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (2018 through present, 2014-2016 and 2008-2011); past Vice President of New York Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (2017-2018); listed in The Best Lawyers in America (2008 through present); and New York Super Lawyers (2008 through present); past President of the Rockland-Westchester Association of Collaborative Lawyers (2015 through 2019), past Vice-President (2007 – 2014) and past Treasurer (2005-2007); Chair of AAML Collaborative Law Committee (2018 through present); member of the New York and Connecticut State Bars; member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New York State Bar Association Family Law Section, Westchester Bar Association, Westchester Bar Association Family Law Section, Westchester Women’s Bar Association and Rockland County Bar Association. Ms. Genovese has lectured for the Westchester County Bar Association, Westchester Women's Bar association, participated in AAML webinars, co-authored a lecture for the New York State Bar Association, acted as Recent Decisions Editor for the Westchester County Bar Association, Family Law Section Domestic Law Review in the year 2009, and has been certified by Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, to participate in the Attorney for Children Panel and Appellate Panel.
