Dolores Gebhardt is a partner of the firm. After sixteen years of legal experience in such areas as labor and employment, environmental and commercial real estate law, since 2000, Dolores has limited her practice to matrimonial and family law and related appeals. She began her career in matrimonial law with Dranoff & Goldschmidt, the predecessor firm to Goldschmidt & Genovese, LLP. Dolores then spent nineteen years with McCarthy Fingar LLP, and returned to Goldschmidt & Genovese in September 2020.

Areas of Experience

• Author of extensive outline on counsel fees in matrimonial actions and in family court

• Advice on and preparation of Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements

• Preparation of all documents incident to an action for divorce, child custody (including child relocation disputes) and related matters

• Advice and negotiations regarding prospective settlements of contested matters

• Trials and Appeals of Supreme and Family Court matters

• Separation Agreements, Stipulations of Settlement and Uncontested Default Divorces for clients at all income and asset levels

• Property distributions, maintenance and child support

• Litigating all aspects of Family Court Proceedings and Divorce Actions, including Orders of Protection, Paternity Disputes, Temporary Support Awards, Restraining Orders, Domestic Violence issues, Exclusive Occupancy of the Marital Residence, Maintenance, Child Support, Equitable Distribution of Marital Property and Establishing Separate Property Claims

• Out of Court Dispute Resolutions, including collaborative law, mediation and fee dispute arbitration

• Collaborative Divorce, including use of the interdisciplinary model
